Track 1 Recorded in Sarah's room at the Sea Raven Inn, Queen Charlotte, Haida Gwaii, British Columbia

Track 2 Recorded on Height of Land Tower, 15 metres above the boreal forest, in Prince Albert National Park, Saskatchewan. Cello and melodica recorded at The Elk Ridge resort in Waskesiu.

Track 3 Recorded live to tape at Corney Brook oceanside campground shelter, at the foot of French Mountain, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia.

Track 4 Recorded in a tipi at Crandell Mountain Campground, Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta. Piano recorded in the lobby of the Prince of Wales Hotel. Backing vocals recorded in Paul's suite. Water samples collected in the park.

Track 5 Recorded in a tent at basecamp, on the beach of Bylot Island, Similik National Park, Nunavut.

Track 6 Recorded live on the banks of the South Nahanni and Flat Rivers under the midnight sun, Nahanni National Park and Reserve, Northwest Territories.

Track 7 Recorded live on the last night at Côte-à-Fabien campground on the north shore of the Kouchibouguac River, Kouchibouguac National Park, New Brunswick. Classical guitar and Glockenspiel overdubs recorded later at the camp shelter.\

Track 8 Recorded live in one take at Corney Brook oceanside campground shelter under French Mountain, Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia. (Listen for the picnic bench thump.)

Track 9 Guitar, kalimba, beats and piano recorded at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta. Vocals, ukulele, backup vocals, acoustic guitar recorded at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Waterton Townsite.

Track 10 Recorded in an old ranger cabin on Flowerpot Island, Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park, Ontario.

Track 11 Recorded in a tent at Bylot Island basecamp, Sirmilik National park, Nunavut. Shortwave transmission pulled from the local airwaves.

Track 12 Recorded at sunset on an island near Île aux Perroquets, Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve, Quebec.

Track 13 Recorded in a shelter at Green Point campground, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. Pump organ recorded in the basement of the Red Mantle Lodge, Woody Point. Viking war horn recorded on the Tablelands at down in the rain.

Track 14 Tracked on the first night around the fire at Cavendish campground, Prince Edward Island National Park, Prince Edward Island. Vocals overdubbed at Dalvay-by-the-Sea.

Track 15 Recorded live on the tundra: the first take. Overdubs at Chipwood Studios walled shed at the Broad River Multi-Use Enclosure, Wapusk National Park, Manitoba.

Track 16 from Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site. Recorded in one take at Looking Around and Blinking hosue, Windy Bay, Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site, Haida Gwaii, British Columbia. This cabin was built to honor the Haida who fought to have the islands of Gwaii Haanas protected.

Track 17 from Kluane National Park and Reserve. Recorded in one take on the St. Elias Icefields at the foot of Mount Logan, Kluane National Park & Reserve, Yukon.

Track 18 from Kluane National Park and Reserve. Recorded over a series of nights, at a shelter on the shores of Kathleen Lake, Kluane National Park & Reserve, Yukon. One of the few songs that was built track-by-track: each player recorded his part separately.

Track 19 from Bruce Peninsula National Park. Recorded in a cabin on Flowerpot Island, Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park, Ontario.

Track 20 from Prince Albert Park. Recorded at Beaver Lodge, Grey Owl's cabin on the shore of Ajawaan Lake, Prince Albert National Park, Saskatchewan.
