Jay Averilla together with Richard Qureishi formed GPS in San Francisco in 2002. With Jay as songwriter, guitarist, on drum duties, and with Rich on bass, they wrote and recorded songs that eventually made their self-titled debut album. Great songs, cool music from San Francisco pop psychedelic band, melodic, upbeat, some bitter-sweet, thoughtful lyrics, inspired by bands like the Beatles, Ride, the Stone Roses, Teenage Fanclub... similar to bands like The Thrills, Keane and BRMC
