Pitamaha II is a compilation of pristinely recorded performances in the field by renowned Grammy-winning recording engineer David Baker. This is the second volume from his 1995 master recordings. The picture disc LP is a 180-gram limited edition print of 500, and features folk art & masks from original folk art creations of Bali. Proceeds from the sale of this release will go to foundations for local Balinese artists. Music from Pitamaha was recently selected by Academy Award nominated director Julie Taymor for her upcoming film The Tempest, scheduled for theatrical release in 2011.
