Spoke is Clive Wright's first studio album since his three collaborations with Harold Budd. Material for this album was compiled from works dating from 2009 until completion towards the end of 2011. During this time, Clive also released an additional three solo live albums. These were his Live Ambient series, Taqsim To Antlia, Starjams Live Ambient 2, and Deluge Live Ambient 3.
