This release contains music selections from the original motion picture soundtrack "Legend of the Lost". Its production was plagued by two significant errors: 1) The disc had to be repressed. The first CD pressing (just the disc not the booklet etc.) shows a completely wrong cover art of the film music from "The Last Man On Earth" (see photo). But at least the CD contains Lavagnino's music from "Legend of the Lost" and none from "The Last Man On Earth". The error was obviously caused by a mix-up when Kritzerland Records was working on another soundtrack project (Last Man On Earth) that - by the way - had to be cancelled because of legel reasons shortly after Legend's release. Kritzerland had to repress the CD with the correct disc cover art as a replacement for the first pressing. Those replacement discs (housed in a plain paper sleeve) had been sent out to resellers and customers. 2) Because of another mistake by the record label this release is missing one track titled "Paessagio" that was supposed to be included on the CD. The missing music would have been of great importance to the whole program. At least that track can now be listened to and downloaded on Kritzerland's website as an mp3 file (http://www.kritzerland.com/Paesaggio.mp3). The sound quality of that "lost" track however has not been restored. It features all the clicks and pops that can be heard on the source material. The source for this piece of music, as well as all the rest of the album (except for two tracks), was a vinyl record. Tracks #1 and #13 have been sourced from a DVD release of the film itself (the sound quality of these two pieces is very inferior compared to the rest of the restored program, and some sound effects of wind blowing can be heard on track #1).
