Sarah, a year younger than him, comes home unexpectedly with her lesbian lover Ellen and finds him dressed as a girl. It is the perfect opportunity to introduce him more and more to dressing as a girl so that they can swap places and she can attend his college in New York to be with Ellen. The problem is that her high school school place is at a girl's boarding school. Their scheme has a novel twist when the new 'girl' turns out to be prettier than either of them and even comes to love her new life at the school. The ending is not what either of them could possibly have expected.
