The Magical Training of Quareia Vol I - The tenth anniversary revised edition. Updated, revised, improved and resized, Quareia Vol I is the first of ten volumes on the practical and theoretical training in Western Esoteric Magic from Apprentice to Adept and beyond. it is the largest and most extensive, in-depth, and intelligent up to date magical training course that is currently and freely available worldwide. This first volume of the Magical Training of Quareia covers basics from meditation, astrology, tarot, self protection and energy cleaning, to working with your ancestors and your own past, understanding the laws of fate and working with your future fate pattern, connecting with inner spirits and beings, and how to work with ritual patterns like the Hexagram and Pentagram in ways much older and more powerful that the nineteenth century approach that is most commonly used. The Appendix also has the complete Quareia Apprentice Study Guide which covers advice, approaches and understanding of magical dynamics in practical everyday terms, covering issues such as difficulty with meditation, how magic can affect your children, how to stay clean and safe etc.

2024 was the tenth anniversary of the birth of Quareia

In 2024, a group of Quareia students volunteered to go through the course to find old dead links, typos, edit errors, colloquialisms, and so forth. Josephine Joined them to look at where things could be explained a bit better, or where something needed adapting or updating to ensure it lasts for generations to come. We also looked at the size of the three gigantic course books of Apprentice, Initiate and Adept. Their current size and weight make them all but impossible to carry around so while those huge tomes will still be available, the new edition volumes feature between 3 and 4 modules plus accompanying texts and chapters necessary for study. Pertinent chapters from Josephine's books have also been added to the Appendix.

Josephine McCarthy is a highly respected magical adept and author of numerous books on magic including classics such The Exorcists Handbook, The Magical Knowledge Trilogy, and The Book of Gates; a magical translation. She is the designer and author of the Quareia Magicians Deck, and designer, artist and author of the Mystagogus Divination deck and book.

Josephine is also the sole author and school director of Quareia - a magical school for the twenty-first century that is a totally free self study course that can be freely downloaded from the internet and worked with, without having to sign up for anything. She occasionally speaks at conferences and universities on Western Esoteric topics, ecology and beliefs, and magic in practice and theory.
