For a huge blues rock guitar fan

I have a dear friend named David R. who's recently become a huge blues rock guitar fan.  In fact, he purchased a newer ZZ Top CD and an older Johnny Winter/Rick Derringer live album circa 1970 to turn me on to what are some of his favorites.  I would like to return the favor.  However, since he travels a lot and does not have access to a fine CD player (I am a HiFi snob) and because I want to share my recommendations to the world, I thought it best to write a notems with some links to the greats/great songs.  So, here we go:

 1.  Alvin Lee and Ten Years After

2. Rory Gallagher

3.  Frank Marino

4.  Pat Travers

5.  Les Dudek

6.  Little Feat

7.  Dickey Betts

8.  Derek Trucks

9.  Joe Bonamassa

10.  Robben Ford

11.

12.  Peter Frampton

13.  Bob Welch

15.  Fanny

16.  Johnny Guitar Watson

17.  Frank Zappa

Then you wait, or you reach out to people who seem like they might get it. It's LinkedIn for people who peaked at open mic night. It's Match.com if everyone's profile picture were their pedalboard, and ...
