Julie, Lia and Alex are in the same grade and go to the same school. Yet, they barely know each other. Julie Peters is a very sweet, nice person, but she is also very shy. Lia is a strong-minded person who has a passion for everything pink. Alex Raymond is funny, athletic, and, most of all, a girl magnet.

When the three eighth graders meet during a group science project, they gain superpowers after they are shocked by mysterious blue rocks. With the help of Julie's genius little brother, Justin, they learn more about their powers and how to use them.

The three students quickly become friends and figure out they aren't as different as they thought. Julie gets into some deep trouble when a bully of hers named Crystie finds out about their powers. Will Julie, Lia, and Alex stop Crystie from telling before it's too late?
