"Mommy Am I Pretty?" is a children's book written to young African American girls to enhance their self-perception and self-esteem. Young black girls will embrace their natural physical characteristics, and the all encompassing beauty it represents. Young black girls will not just accpet themselves, rather love themselves and the embodiment of how they are wonderfully and meticulously made after reading, "Mommy Am I Pretty?"
