This is a reprint of the classic 1954 printing of the 1954 Liber Brevior, originally published by Desclée & Company, Tournai, Belgium. This contains the pre-1955 chants for the Latin Rite Mass for Sundays and feasts and is much shorter than the Liber Usualis. Rubrics are provided in English. Little is changed from this edition and the 1962 Liber Usualis except during Holy Week. Use of the 1962 Latin Rite Mass is authorized by the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum. Additional permission may be required to use the Holy Week rituals in this book.
