8The attack on the Zakador estate is bloody and merciless. Unfortunately, Kassan is gravely injured and is left fighting for his life. Master Igen doesn't leave his lover's side, helping him and hoping that he might recover soon. Hakar's child is allowed to live at the estate. The child brings happiness and laughter to an otherwise gloomy house. As the hard winter is over, King Asakin and Caesar make travel preparations, but going back to the palace might bring turmoil, as the Queen Mother is not ready to renounce her position without a fight.
