The story takes place in "The Magical Forest". Beatrix, a new bunny has moved there. She has a floppy ear and the others at school bully her. A persistent chipmunk, whom has a problem befriends. The bullies learn a lesson about accepting others.

The author is a widow with grown twins, a boy and a girl. She has four grandchildren. She resides in Michigan and is actively involved in the Greater Lansing Orchid Society and is the director of Christian education at church.
