ecious experience that happens when a child realizes that they can be a friend of God. As enthusiasm and curiosity explodes inside of him, he takes the reader on an adventure for answers to the big questions posed to his parents. His parents then take Jerry on a step-by-step journey explaining just how people can become a friend of God. When I first read this book, I fell in love with Jerry and his story. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of sharing this critical message with children and their families about how easy it truly is to find joy in the Lord. Like Jerry, I came to Jesus around 4 years old, while sitting in bed talking to my mom and dad. I related to Jerry and his curiosity about God and His goodness. Being the illustrator for this book has not only grown me as an artist, but in my relationship with the Lord as well. I am reminded that Holy Spirit moves in many ways, in young and old. I pray that when this book finds you, it touches you and becomes a go-to story to read and share. "Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord." Psalms 144:15 Lynzi Moore Sandra is from Missouri, but now resides in Texas. Her passion for studying and searching the scriptures only grows stronger with one goal in mind: to know God and be closer today than she was a year ago. She has been a license minister and home missionary with FGEA, for which she also wrote several kid's corner pages; sent out to their entire membership. She continues to cherish time spent studying the scriptures and worshiping in His presence. Jerry's New Friend is a result of just one of the many intimate times she heard God speaking and revealing His heart and love for all who will hear and respond to His call. They too can then say; God is my best friend. Sandra Parsons Eiland RN, BSN, ND
