Gloria was a young widow with two sons and full of boundless energy when she took over the operation of a run down bar on the north side of town. It was a big challenge for a young mother but the rewards proved to be exceptional. She proved to the area that she had the 'spunk' and ambition to make such a business venture a huge success. She later contributed that same energy to enhance the viability of the Visitors Bureau.
