Carolina is an attractive young woman from Ciudad Juarez. Life seems to smile at her: the family business is prosperous, her older brothers adore and protect her, and at her young age, she's beginning to become the object that attracts all the masculine stares in Juarez--and this clearly doesn't bother her. While life in the city is disrupted by violence, drug cartels, and corruption, Carolina seems to live in a parallel reality, between candor and cynicism.
