Everyone has a story!

For Peter, his story is rife with anger, pain and regret-a story marred by the flames of tragedy. There was a time when he had it all together with someone to love and a purpose to serve. But, as quickly as the pages of a story turn, so did his life.

After an accident claims the lives of his wife and son, Peter turns from faith and all things familiar to a bar called House of Spirits where he encounters an unlikely stranger he won't soon forget.

Will Peter follow the path the stranger illuminates, one that revisits the most un comfortable chapters of his complicated life, or will he turn further inward, forever haunted by the spirits that chain him? Will he accept this last shot of redemption?

Written like a Christmas Carol with a little urban fantasy thrown in to create a storyline that makes a promise, walks the reader through a process and delivers a genuine payoff.

Excerpt:

I was sitting in a bar in Greensboro. NC, when a stranger asked, "Do you ever feel like you're serving a life sentence?"

He looked North of Sixty with a dark complication that gave his light gray hair an almost white like appearance. His face was weathered and worn; his clothes, tattered and wrinkled. I did not know if he was a drunk, or just simply having a drink, but I assumed the whisky was talking, so I answered, "Yes, but not tonight." Then, looked the other direction because I did not want to engage. An empty stool separated us.

Believing the best strategy to avoid meaningless conversation was a quick exit, I tipped the bartender and stood. The stranger turned up his glass and sat it down with a thump.

He looked up to me, and as our eyes met, he smiled and said, "If you will stick around for a while, the next few are on me." I was disarmed by an invitation that supported something I've always believed about human beings-we're hard wired for fellowship. Some find it in church, many look to social media, while others turn to bars and honky-tonks. Now, that may sound like something a preacher would say, but that was a previous life, one where I had things together, until my world fell apart and challenged everything I believed and thought as true."
