6This book was written to encourage and support all those who might be termed, "self or soul seekers." My introduction to this philosophy and/or teaching called "metaphysics" actually turned my life around. Over the years after much reading, studying, researching, a lot of soul searching and practicing those concepts that made sense to me - I have become a more confident and peaceful person about my place within the universe. After many years of private pain and suffering, I have learned so much about that "something" within me that has become the catalyst for me to feel empowered, to learn to honor and respect others, to make positive changes for myself based on my own determination. I have learned to accept myself just as I am and no longer relying on others' opinion or waiting for their concept of who I am or should be. I have learned that I have a powerful tool that is available to me. This tool was not given to me by anyone nor can it be taken away from me. I am in total control of this tool - which is my mind. With our minds, we can observe; make adjustments when we find it necessary or desired. We can make judgments or not. We can be healthy, happy and successful - all due to our state of mind. What a powerful gift that we all have been given. So this book may be a catalyst for others who have probably heard these words before but have not been courageous enough to make a stand for themselves. Changing one's thoughts can, indeed, change one's life - but this endeavor is not easy. It takes commitment to one's self to come to that place of understanding and accepting that it's what you understand in life is...what you will experience!
